Eastwood agrees Molineux move

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has pulled off a major coup by enticing Southend United striker Freddy Eastwood to Molineux.

The 23-year-old moved to Roots Hall from Grays Athletic three years ago and scored 65 goals in 135 appearances for the Shrimpers.

Chief executive Jez Moxey told the club's official website: "We've been in pursuit of Freddy Eastwood since the end of last season and have had ongoing negotiations with Southend United chairman Ron Martin.

"We're delighted to report that following discussions, and a medical, we've now agreed personal terms. Freddy will sign a four-year contract.

"The formalities of this transfer should be completed within the next few days."
