Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has confirmed his interest in Cork City's highly-rated winger Roy O'Donovan.
The 21-year-old, who has also been linked with moves to Wigan Athletic and Derby County recently, has already been the subject of one failed bid by McCarthy.
"I phoned the Cork chairman and asked him if I could have the player over for a couple of days to have a look at him, but I was told no," said the former Republic of Ireland manager.
"The chairman told me what he had he was going to keep because he was trying to build a side, so I said good luck to him.
"But if I'm prepared to have him over for a couple of days to have a look at him, that means he's a player I'm interested in."
