Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake has been named as the Championship Player of the Year.

The 23-year-old former Plymouth Argyle striker has scored 24 times for the Molineux club this term, helping Mick McCarthy's side head the table in the chase for top-flight football.

Ebanks-Blake told his club's official website: "I'm delighted with the Player of the Year award, it's a great honour.

"It's a recognition of what I've done over the year in the Championship and what I've done since arriving at Wolves.

"But it's also testament to what we've done as a squad this year, not just me.

"It's only down to my team-mates that I've been able to produce the form that I have."
