World Cup Windfall

With the World cup about the start FIFA have announced that clubs will be compensated £1,000 per day per player during the World Cup A Fifa Spokesman said "Every club who has a player at the World Cup will receive £1,000 per day , per player. The money wil be paid 15 days before the tournmant and up to one day after the players participation in the World cup ends" So with Wolves bhaving three players in the World cup Nenad Milijas(Serbia), Marcus Hahnemann USA and Adlene Guedioura (Algeria), Wolves will receive £45,000 even before the world cup starts With the USA and Algeria in England's group, even if both are knocked out on the 23rd June Wolves will net an extra £28,000 Serbia last group game is also on the 23rd June will will add another £14,000 to the kitty So All in all even if the worst happens and all three Wolves players are knocked out in the group stages , Wolves should receive a cheque from FIFA in the region of £87,000 which should be enough to pay Stephen Fletcher's wages for a month !
