Wolves take tough stance after coach attack

Wolves have pledged to ban any supporter found guilty of being involved in the attack on coaches carrying Notts County fans after Tuesday night's Carling Cup tie at Molineux. West Midlands Police have confirmed that bricks were thrown at coaches on their way out of Wolverhampton after the third-round tie. They have also confirmed that one woman needed hospital treatment after being struck by an object thrown at one of the coaches. Wanderers, in part of a statement, said: "Wolves completely condemn this type of behaviour. The club will work together with Notts County and any other party to support the police with their inquiries and will, as always, act quickly and decisively to ban any supporter proven to have been involved." Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey said: "Words can't adequately describe our anger and frustration at the reports of such irresponsible and stupid behaviour of someone or some people last night. "It is totally and utterly unacceptable and if the perpetrators can be identified, and they turn out to be Wolves supporters, they will never be allowed inside Molineux again. "I feel terrible for those Notts County fans who were exposed to this. They should have been able to return home without some moron or morons throwing objects at their coaches. It's despicable."
