Wolves mauled by Leeds

Wolves went down 3-1 to Leeds in their latest pre-season friendly. Mick McCarthy's men, who sent a side to Cheltenham on Friday night, began slowly and fell behind to Max Gradel's long-distance strike in the 36th minute. But Matt Jarvis drew the Premier League side level when his free-kick evaded everyone and went straight in. They were not at parity for long, though, as Lloyd Sam restored Leeds' lead in the 48th minute and Bradley Johnson made the game safe late on. Wolves continue their pre-season preparations when they take on SPL side Hearts on Tuesday before concluding against Atletico Bilbao next Saturday.
