Wolves hold on to sink Foxes

16 September 2012 15:12
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Richard Stearman scored to help Wolves resist Leicester's fightback and claim a 2-1 Championship victory at Molineux. The hosts, relegated from the Premier League last season, took the lead on 13 minutes when Ebanks-Blake stole in at the far post to head into the roof of the net. And centre-half Stearman put them 2-0 to the good when he crashed a 21st-minute volley into the net following a left-wing corner. But the Foxes refused to lie down and Paul Konchesky's powerful 30-yard drive brought them back into the match and only brave defending from Wolves allowed them to hang onto all three points.
