Manager Mick McCarthy has already guided the club to automatic promotion and could clinch the title with a point at Barnsley on Saturday.

And Moxey told the Football League Podcast: "We're pretty clear about what we need to do. It's just a question of whether we can achieve that.

"Clearly we've got a very young team, the second youngest squad in the Championship, so we're starting from an interesting base, but what we need to do is bring in a number of experienced, tried and tested Premier League players to help our young guns do the business.

"We're going to need to invest wisely and be smart and we're going to continue really along the lines that we have so far in the last couple of years.

"That's by investing wisely and hopefully as quickly as we can to give ourselves the best advantage."
