Wolves boss Solbakken defiant despite defeat to Millwall
Wolves manager Stale Solbakken has vowed he can ride out the storm after his side crashed to a 1-0 defeat against in-form Millwall at Molineux.
Andy Keogh returned to haunt his former club with a 78th minute winner for the visitors, condemning Wolves to a sixth defeat in nine games.
"I am full of confidence that I can turn it around," said Solbakken. "I am quite sure that I am the right man. I have no doubt about that.
"I don't think any players have that either. I think they are very much behind me.
"Football is a results business but I hope that I am here to bring success in the long-term and the short-term.
"When you have gone nine games without a win the most important thing is the next game."
Solbakken is under huge pressure and knows his job is on the line.
"I understand the questions (about my job). It is a fair question," he added.
"It is about one man having the pressure and that is me.
"I am the man who has to get confidence back in the team.
"In the second-half we were awful. We did not look like a football team. All
we can say is sorry for the second-half because that was as bad as it can be.
"There is only one man to blame and one man to get it going again and that is
me. I have to sort this out quickly."
