Wolves admit to Doyle interest

The Republic of Ireland international has been strongly linked with a switch to Molineux and it has been reported that Wolves have matched the £6.5million release clause in his contract. Morgan refused to be drawn on whether manager Mick McCarthy had made Doyle one of his summer transfer targets, but he was prepared to reveal his admiration for the former Cork forward. He told Sky Sports News: "Kevin Doyle is an excellent player, but we don't talk about the players we are looking at. "If a player like Kevin Doyle becomes available then we have to be interested, but we'd rather not comment on any individual."
