Wolverhampton Wanderers v Everton Live

Wolverhampton Wanderers will be looking for a win against Everton which would all but secure their Premier League status for another season. Mick McCarthy's men are now seven points ahead of the drop zone places following their fine 3-1 away-day victory at West Ham United on Monday evening, with Kevin Doyle, Ronald Zubar and Matt Jarvis the goalscoring heroes of the hour. The success has now seen them collect seven points from a possible nine after their excellent 2-2 draw at Midlands rivals Aston Villa and their 2-1 triumph at Burnley on March 13. But it is their home woes that has caused them concern this term. They are the only side in the Premier League to pick up more points on their travels (16) that at their Molineux home (15) and they will want to turn this statistic around against David Moyes' outfit. March is proving to be a good month for the Toffees this season, three wins and a draw has given reason for optimism on Merseyside as they chase back-to-back Europa League qualifications. Wins against Hull City, Bolton Wanderers and a fine 2-0 away success at Manchester City on Wednesday night, with a 2-2 draw at Birmingham City in between, has renewed hope of another continental adventure. They sit in eighth position and if they can maintain their current form, they could feature in the shake-up come the end of the season. Midfield maestro Mikel Arteta has hit the back of the net four times in his previous four games and he will be looking to continue his hot streak of form in from of goal. Earlier in the season, Wolves were unlucky to be pegged back at the death as the two sides played out a 1-1 draw. Doyle opened the scoring with just quarter of a hour to go but Russia international Diniyar Bilyaletdinov broke the visitors' hearts, notching in the 87th minute to grab a point. Everton are likely to be without striker Louis Saha (hamstring) and Marouane Fellaini (ankle) is out for the season. Philippe Senderos (knee) is nearing a return to the first-team but the clash against Wolves may come too soon. The hosts are only without winger Michael Kightly (ankle) as his injury frustrations continue to hamper him.
