Wolves trio sit out

Carl Ikeme, Bakary Sako and Dave Edwards will all miss Wolves' home clash against Middlesbrough.

First-choice goalkeeper Ikeme could miss the remainder of the season after breaking his hand punching a dressing room tactics board at half-time in Wanderers' 2-1 win over Bristol City last time out, having earlier conceded a bizarre own goal.

To make matters worse, boss Dean Saunders had already lost star winger Sako (hamstring) and midfielder Edwards (metatarsal) against the Robins, both of whom are now facing at least six weeks on the sidelines.

Dorus De Vries replaced Ikeme and he is set to line up from the off against Boro for what will be his first league start of the season.

Left-back Stephen Ward returns to the frame having missed the victory over Bristol City through suspension.

Wigan winger Nouha Dicko and goalkeeper Marian Kello, a free agent, are also available to make their Wolves debuts having arrived at the club on Thursday.

Middlesbrough midfielder Josh McEachran is a doubt after he damaged an ankle in England Under-21s' 4-0 victory over Austria.

Striker Emmanuel Ledesma is unlikely to make the game after suffering a recurrence of an ankle problem.

Full-back Stuart Parnaby is back in training after a hamstring tear but the game is likely to come too soon for him.

Midfielder Julio Arca is the only other name on the casualty list, although he will not play again this season because of a toe injury.
