Dave Edwards set to make Wolves return against Huddersfield

Dave Edwards could make a swift return from a knee injury when Wolves host Huddersfield.

The midfielder had been expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks after sustaining the problem last month.

But Edwards, who has also been called into the Wales squad for their Euro 2016 qualifiers, has made a rapid recovery and has an outside chance of facing the Terriers.

Conor Coady could also return to face his former club after completing a three-match ban following his dismissal against Brighton last month.

Huddersfield skipper Mark Hudson is hoping to return to contention following an ankle injury.

The centre-half has missed the last four matches and boss Chris Powell must decide whether to recall him or stick with Joel Lynch at the heart of defence alongside on-loan Elliott Ward, who is scheduled to return to parent club Bournemouth after the match.

On-loan goalkeeper Jed Steer is also set to play his last game for the club before returning to Aston Villa, with Huddersfield's first choice Joe Murphy edging closer to a return following a calf injury.

Jamie Paterson will return to contention after being ineligible to play against parent club Nottingham Forest in the last match, but fellow striker James Vaughan (calf) remains sidelined.
