Thomas thanks Wolves for trial

The former England Under-21 international is on the lookout for a new club having left Portsmouth at the end of last season. Thomas had a spell training at Hull City earlier in the summer but a deal failed to materialise despite a number of bright displays in pre-season. Having accrued plenty of top-flight experience while at Charlton earlier in his career, Thomas could be an attractive proposition for a Wolves side shy of Premier League pedigree. Thomas, who has said he is also open to a move abroad, will train with the Molineux club as Mick McCarthy weighs up whether to offer him a permanent stay.
