The Championship's leading goalscorer grabbed his 22nd of the season, one short of the total that secured him the golden boot last term, from the penalty spot in the 74th minute at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night. And he insists the spirit in the dressing room was there for all to see on the pitch as the club returned to winning ways and extended their lead at the top of the table, for the time being at least. "You could see the team spirit and I can assure people that has never left the dressing room," he told the club's official website. "Results haven't gone our way and people have speculated on things, but I can guarantee that the team spirit we showed has never left since the first game of the season. And it won't leave us any time now. "When we win games, people buy into it and when we lose, people want to speculate as to what's wrong. But team spirit has always been there and we believe in ourselves. We'll continue to march on."
