Stearman: Wolves not a bad team

Wolves slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Ewood Park and contributed to their own downfall as a sloppy piece of play allowed Blackburn to take a first-half lead. Stearman accepts the Premier League new boys' performance was not up to scratch, but insists Wolves have not suddenly become a bad team. And the England Under 21 defender is optimistic that Mick McCarthy's side can bounce back to form when Fulham visit Molineux on Sunday. "That was our worst performance of the season so far," Stearman told the club's official website. "We started off okay, it wasn't particularly pretty, but we were in the game. But then we conceded a sloppy goal from our point of view which has lifted them and put us on the back foot. "Saturday was a bad result, but we don't become a bad team overnight. "We're going to have off-days. This is the best league in the world and if we come to any ground and are not 100 per cent and at it, then we'll get turned over. "That's what happened at Blackburn. "We've got a week now when the whole squad is together and hopefully a few boys will be back from injury. That could be vital to us and we've got a full week now to try and put things right."
