Solbakken explains Connor exit

Wolves boss Stale Solbakken has said that sacking Terry Connor as assistant manager was one of the "most difficult decisions" he has made. Connor had his contract terminated after 13 years at the club, as Solbakken attempts to make his mark at Molineux.

The Norwegian replaced Connor as manager after Wolves ended last season with just one win from 26 games. He told the Birmingham Mail: "It was not a conversation I wanted to have. It was one of my most difficult decisions. "But I have to do what I think is right for the club. I can't sit here in two or three months time having not done what I think I should do. "I'm the one who has to make the decisions to bring us forward and this is not a decision you want to take but it is a decision I felt was very right."
