Rumours Start Already

The season hasn't finished but the rumours have already started about who Wolves will sign for next season... and today's rumour (again) is that Wolves are after Robbie Keane from Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland are also said to be interested Wolves were linked to a loan deal for Keane in January but he chose his boyhood heroes Celtic But in today's Sun the keane rumout has resurfaced again The report in full states ROBBIE KEANE is back on the Wolves wanted list now that they have clinched Premier League survival. Wanderers, his first professional club, failed to land the Republic of Ireland striker on loan in January. Keane, 29, left Spurs for Celtic instead and has been named their Player of the Season after 13 goals in 15 games. He still has three years left on his Spurs contract but has told boss Harry Redknapp he wants to play regularly. And that could open the door to a season-long deal with Wolves, who were prepared to pay a £1million loan fee and the player's £65,000-a-week wages at the turn of the year. Keane is good friends with Wolves' Irish striker Kevin Doyle and has a soft spot for the club. Steve Bruce is said to be weighing up an £8 million bid for keane so if Big Mick wants to sign the player who was on schoolboys forms at Molineux all those years ago he'll have to get a move on.
