Doncaster have signed defender George Friend from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.[LNB] The 22-year-old full-back, who can also play in midfield, has put pen to paper on a two-year contract at the Keepmoat Stadium.[LNB]Friend joined Wolves from Exeter for £350,000 in 2008 but managed only eight first-team appearances and had loan spells with Millwall, Southend and Scunthorpe as well as a stint back at St James Park.[LNB]However, he did play in Wanderers' controversial trip to Manchester United last season, when manager Mick McCarthy made 10 changes to his starting line-up.[LNB]
