"I feel I'm getting my match fitness and I'm enjoying it so whenever I get my chance, I'm just going to do what I know I can do," Reid told the Express and Star.
"Once I hit it, I saw it take a deflection and go towards goal and I realised it was dipping and bending further away from the keeper. But when I saw him catch it then drop it, I was more than happy to see it go in.
"I was trying to whip it in and if it hadn't have taken a deflection, it would have been a good ball for Vokesy (Sam Vokes) or Sylvan (Ebanks Blake) to attack it.
"But the way things have been going for us, sometimes you need that bit of luck to turn it around and we can kick on from here."
