Rae backing McCarthy to succeed
The 39-year-old played under McCarthy at Millwall and has full confidence in his ability to attract big names to the club.
"When he went into management, I didn't know how his teams would play - especially given the way he played the game," he told the Express and Star.
"But it was great to play for him - his teams always played good football.
"At Millwall he developed us even though a lot of us were young boys.
"He has an eye for talent and he's doing the same at Wolves now. There's no doubt in my mind that Mick is a Premier League manager."
