Staunton has signed striker James Collins from Aston Villa on a three-month loan deal and fellow teenager David Davis, a midfielder from Wolves, on a one-month deal. Another striker, Mo Diop, from France, has been signed from Ibiza in Spain's fourth division and is currently waiting for international clearance. But Diop has sustained a muscle strain and will not be in contention for Saturday's clash at Barnet. Staunton is also hoping to complete the signing of former Derby and Luton defender Richard Jackson, recently released by Hereford, in time for the weekend. Staunton has moved to fill the gaps in his squad left by Russell Hoult, Tony Kane, Jamie Devitt and Kevin Gall, who all left the club after last weekend's win over Shrewsbury.
