Pearce brings in Under-21 back-up

Pearce has been forced to call upon reinforcements after suffering two withdrawals last week. Newcastle defender, and Under-21 skipper, Steven Taylor was the first to go as he failed to shake of a niggling Achilles problem. Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck has also been forced to pull out of the upcoming tournament with a knee complaint. As a result, Tottenham midfielder Rose and Wolves defender Stearman have been brought in to cover their absence. Pearce's youngsters finalise their preparations for their trip to Sweden next Monday with a friendly fixture against Azerbaijan.
