The 27-year-old spent the second half of this term on loan at The Hawthorns from French side Nancy, proving his Premier League credentials by netting five times in 17 starts for Tony Mowbray's relegated outfit. Mowbray is also believed to be in the hunt to sign Fortune on a permanent basis but, according to his agent, Fortune is keen to remain in the top flight and a move to their newly-promoted Black Country rivals or London looks the most likely option. "To my mind, he is going to sign with either Wolverhampton or Fulham, even though surprises can always happen," said agent Michael Manuello in the Express and Star. "Wolves and Fulham have expressed their interest in Marco's services. But I can't tell you when a deal will be done. "For sure, he wants to stay in the Premier League and he has proved that he has the talent to impose himself in this competition. "It's easier to know how things will happen in France, whereas it's slightly more complicated in England."
