Murray has not made a first-team appearance for Wolves since May 2007, but recently hit the comeback trail after being sidelined for a year due to a ruptured patella tendon suffered on loan at Hereford United.[LNB]He featured for the reserves against Birmingham City last month, but lasted just 23 minutes of the game before coming off as a precaution.[LNB]Scans on Murray's knee have shown that he requires further rehabilitation and, though surgery is not required, it is likely to be next spring when the 28-year-old will be fit to play again.[LNB]"Matt won't be fit until next year," Wolves boss Mick McCarthy told the club's official website.[LNB]"We're in December now obviously, but it is going to be months.[LNB]"There's no surgery required, but he needs to get the knee sorted out and is going to be out for a few months.[LNB]"It's difficult for all players when they get injured, but Matt will keep fighting on.[LNB]"He was at least happy that there was no further surgery needed."[LNB][LNB] Wolves v Bolton.
