More pressure on me now - McCarthy

McCarthy is well aware that anything but a win against the Clarets at Molineux will see his team selection at Manchester United in midweek questioned once more.[LNB]McCarthy took the decision to change all 10 of the outfield players who started last weekend's 1-0 win at Tottenham to ensure that his key players were fully fit for the game with Burnley.[LNB]McCarthy has been both pilloried and lauded for his actions, but he knows the only way he will be vindicated is if Wolves secure the win against Burnley that could move them out of the relegation zone.[LNB]He said: "Don't think that I don't understand that it has added a bit more pressure to the game - but that is on me. That is my decision, no-one else's."[LNB]Wolves will be viewed as favourites for the match as Burnley have picked up just one of their 19 points so far away from home.[LNB]But McCarthy is not reading anything into Burnley's dismal record on the road.[LNB]He added: "I saw Burnley against Arsenal this week at Turf Moor and they played very well.[LNB]"Their home record has been absolutely fabulous too - they've had some great wins - so that shows how tough they will be.[LNB]"They did well to come back from falling a goal behind against Arsenal.[LNB]"Arsenal started well and scored. They could have then have been two or three up but after that Burnley played well.[LNB]"When they got the equaliser against Arsenal, they had 10 men back in their half.[LNB]"But they can play and they've got good players. No-one should be in any doubt about that. They have been really excellent this season.[LNB]"It should be a good contest because both teams came out of the Championship, both are learning their trade and there are only three points between us.[LNB]"I think we are bound to have fresher legs than Burnley with the lads who didn't play in midweek, and it is up to us to make that count."[LNB]McCarthy admits his controversial team selection against United could have left Burnley boss Owen Coyle fuming.[LNB]But the pair go back a long way, and McCarthy is not surprised that Coyle is one of the managers who, along with Sir Alex Ferguson, spoke out in support of his actions at Old Trafford.[LNB]McCarthy said: "Owen was asked and common sense prevails from sensible people.[LNB]"But common sense is not very common when a furore starts. You can always find someone to utter something bad in a situation like this."[LNB]With the exception of long-term injury victims Michael Kightly, Andy Keogh and Dave Edwards, McCarthy has no other major injury concerns.[LNB]With the exception of Edwards, who is out for 10 weeks after suffering ankle-ligament damage at Tottenham, all of the outfield players who were rested at Old Trafford are set to return.[LNB]That will see Richard Stearman, Jody Craddock, Christophe Berra, Stephen Ward, Karl Henry, Nenad Milijas, Matt Jarvis, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Kevin Doyle back in the starting line-up.[LNB][LNB] Wolves Evens, Draw 12/5, Burnley 14/5
