Mick: This time will be different

McCarthy led Wolves to promotion from the Championship this season - the second time he has guided a side into the Premier League after leading the Black Cats to the top flight in 2005. Sunderland went straight back down with a meagre 15 points the following season, but McCarthy is confident Wolves will avoid the ignominy of another immediate return to England's second tier. "I am sure we will have a better opportunity to be a success this time in terms of support," McCarthy told the Sunday Mercury. "I am not talking about fans, I am talking about from within and in terms of money. I have not spoken a lot about it (Sunderland), I have just stated the facts of what I had to spend which made it incredibly difficult. "With Wolves there is something to prove. It's a different team and a different challenge."
