Mick confident in Wolves strike pair

The frontmen have, according to McCarthy, just started to develop an understanding of each other, after early-season injuries to both players hampered their efforts.[LNB]Republic of Ireland international Doyle has scored five times for Wolves since his summer arrival from Reading and last season's Golden Boot winner Ebanks-Blake has scored just once from a penalty in the league, but McCarthy is convinced they are both on the right tracks.[LNB]"Yes, they are starting to blossom because they are playing alongside each other," McCarthy told the Sunday Mercury.[LNB]"Doyle had a hernia to start with so all the groundwork we put into team shape and the pattern of playing, he missed it. And Sylvan did his hamstring when Doyley was coming back so it was September or October before they were really fit and playing together.[LNB]"So they've had a couple of months and that couple of months has been about learning about each other and playing together. I think in whatever games they've played, over the last half a dozen, their relationship and on-field partnership has really got better. I'm delighted with them.[LNB]"It takes time and they missed that early bit together in training so they've been learning together in the Premier League.[LNB]"Getting a partnership going in the Premier League is not easy, it doesn't always come off instantly. They will be vitally important for the team and the club. They are good players but they've had to forge their partnership in the Premier League."[LNB][LNB]
