McCarthy wants more from Milijas

Wolves boss McCarthy signed Serbia international Milijas from Red Star Belgrade during the summer and he has found it hard to claim a starting role.[LNB]There were glimpses of his potential such as when he set up two goals for Jody Craddock as a substitute during the 2-2 draw at Stoke.[LNB]But it was against Bolton that 26-year-old Milijas showed his real quality in creating another goal for Craddock and scoring with a stunning 20-yard strike himself.[LNB]McCarthy said: "It is a case of 'welcome to the team on a regular basis' if Nenad plays like that.[LNB]"That was the level of performance I want from Nenad. It is what I saw, it is what I thought I saw, when I was interested in signing him.[LNB]"We have seen his quality. He was one of my big signings in the summer. He is going to the World Cup with Serbia next summer. He has captained Red Star Belgrade.[LNB]"If I get that level of performance, he is inked onto the team sheet and he will be a regular in my side.[LNB]"If I don't, he doesn't play - and that is the same with everybody."[LNB]McCarthy is looking for his side to build on their first win in nine Premier League games.[LNB]He said: "What happened last weekend was just a small step in the right direction. We needed a win.[LNB]"The mood was getting slightly down and dejected and I could understand that.[LNB]"But we need everyone to stick together to have any chances of surviving in this league and prospering as a football club - and we have all stuck together."[LNB][LNB] Tottenham 3/10, Draw 4/1, Wolves 10/1
