Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is looking to bring in "four or five players" this summer after securing Premier League football for another season.[LNB] With £750,000 in prize money available for each place in the top flight, McCarthy has challenged his players to finish as high as possible to boost his transfer war chest.[LNB]McCarthy brought in nine players after Wolves gained promotion from the Championship, but he will be more selective with his purchases this summer.[LNB]"I will be looking to bring in four or five players this summer to improve," he said. "We had too many (new signings) last summer really.[LNB]"The good thing is, with making sure we are safe with two games left, is that we can start looking now at the players we want to sign.[LNB]"That is a help in terms of the planning and preparing behind the scenes."[LNB]Wolves visit relegated Portsmouth on Saturday and then end the campaign with a home clash with Sunderland.[LNB]McCarthy added: "There are two games left, we want to finish 14th and one or two places either way could be the difference between getting a player in and not getting a player in.[LNB]"The more money you get in will help with strengthening the squad."
