McCarthy stays coy over Lescott claims

Everton paid Wolves £5million for Lescott in 2006, but the deal also allegedly included sell-on clauses that could now benefit the Midlands club. It is suggested Wolves are to receive in the region of £2.5million if the £24million City deal goes through, but McCarthy is calm over claims he could be about to receive a transfer boost. When asked about a potential windfall, he told Sky Sports News: "So everybody keeps telling me, I wouldn't talk about it because it is not my job to do that. "Jez (Moxey), as chief executive, deals with all that. When I've needed supporting I've been supported in the transfer market and nothing will change. "Let's see what happens."
