"I should congratulate Palace," he said. "They have beaten us and beaten us well. They thoroughly deserved it.
"We didn't mark for the first goal and after that it was a downward spiral. We were out-thought and out-fought. I didn't see it coming.
"But I'm not going to condemn my team - I've already done that to them personally."
"I didn't see that coming after the last two games," he said. "We'll analyse it, have a look at it and see what we can do with the Birmingham game in mind.
"I had my pound of flesh in the dressing room and I'll have another pound when we get back in training on Thursday, and we'll sort it out between us."
