McCarthy frustrated with penalty decision

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy felt referee Mark Clattenburg was wrong to award West Ham the penalty which ensured his side were held to a 1-1 draw at Molineux. Kevin Foley was adjudged to have brought down Victor Obinna in the 53rd minute and Mark Noble converted from the spot to cancel out Matt Jarvis' opener. Frederic Piquionne thought he had won it in stoppage time for the Hammers but his effort was ruled out for handball. McCarthy said: "At the time I couldn't have told you what I thought about the penalty, but I have seen it since and I think it is very harsh on Floes, "I have seen the last one (Piquionne's disallowed goal) and I thought it was a handball at the time. I appealed for a handball because he seemed to put himself down to do it. "I haven't seen as good a replay for that as I did for the penalty. I think it is a real soft penalty, I really do."
