Kightly targets run in first team

Kightly had not played since the end of last season, when he missed the final six games of the campaign as Wolves took the Championship title. The 23-year-old broke his foot and needed surgery on that and his hip, but he is now back to full fitness and started at Everton on Saturday. "I would like to play a few games on the trot, get my fitness up and get better and stronger," he told Sky Sports News. Kightly admits he is still getting over the disappointment of missing the final stretch of Wolves' Championship success. "Obviously I missed the last six games of last season so that was devastating," he said. "I remember the day we got promoted and it was quite emotional for me and I was gutted to miss it."
