Red Star Belgrade captain Nenad Milijas is the latest player to be linked with the Molineux outfit as McCarthy looks to equip his squad with adequate reinforcements for the forthcoming Premier League season. But, despite the overwhelming amount of speculation surrounding the Premier League newcomers, England Under-21 winger Kightly has every confidence his manager will spend wisely. Kightly told The Express and Star: "People just need to look at other teams to see how many signings they've made - no one. Every year and every transfer window it's the same - it's quiet, and then all of a sudden, it goes manic. "I'm sure the club will get the players they want and there won't be any problems." "It's a very attractive club for someone to look at," Kightly added. "Hopefully we can stay in the Premier League this season, establish ourselves in there and this club can move forward"
