Kightly focused on comeback

Wolves winger Michael Kightly is hoping his 18-month injury nightmare is finally behind him.[LNB] Kightly has been dogged by a series of injuries, most notably ankle and knee setbacks, since the tail-end of 2009.[LNB]He has not completed 90 minutes since then but made four first-team appearances towards the end of last season and now wants to establish himself as a Premier League player.[LNB]Kightly said: "I've missed too much football during the past two seasons and I'm eager to get back to where I was a couple of years ago.[LNB]"I got back at the end of last season but it was difficult in those games because the team were needing points to stay up and we couldn't really carry anyone.[LNB]"But we've got a lot of games this pre-season, I've worked hard over the summer and, with a good pre-season, hopefully I can compete for a place."[LNB]Kightly added: "It is a big ambition of mine to play well in the Premier League - but I just want to be playing football, full stop.[LNB]"I'm aiming to play like I was two years ago before all the injury problems started."
