Wolves midfielder David Jones is still hoping to sign a new contract with the club following his stunning goal at the weekend.[LNB] Jones flicked up and they volleyed home a free-kick on Saturday as his side beat Stoke 2-1 at Molineux after negotiations over a new deal broke down the previous week.[LNB]If the two parties do not reach an agreement then Jones could potentially agree a pre-contract deal with a new club in six months' time.[LNB]The former Manchester United academy product, 25, wants to get a deal sorted and is looking to build on his performance against the Potters.[LNB]"I don't think it's put my price up," Jones said of his goal in the Daily Mirror.[LNB]"With the contract there are a few sticking points but I hope they can get sorted. It's nothing major in my eyes.[LNB]"I always give 100 per cent anyway. It hasn't affected me at all - it just makes me more hungry to stay at this club.[LNB]"The manager has said that he wants me to stay and if I can keep playing like that then I can help this club progress."[LNB]On his strike against Stoke, Jones added: "I've been working on that free-kick but not had many opportunities to do it. I always practise them so it was nice that it actually came off.[LNB]"I need a few good performances now - this is only the first game of the season."
