Henry happy with Wolves goal threat

Karl Henry believes Wolves must learn to score from nowhere if they are to continue their improvement in the Premier League this season.[LNB] Henry is confident the concerns of last season, when Wolves struggled to score goals, are now a thing of the past but he also knows Mick McCarthy's side have to close out contests when in the ascendancy.[LNB]Wolves have led at Fulham and Tottenham in their last two Premier League games only to end up losing both games.[LNB]Ahead of Sunday's derby against Aston Villa, Henry said: "You need to be able to create goals from nowhere and I think we've got that in the team.[LNB]"We've got goals now in the team. It is a nice feeling to have.[LNB]"You need to have knowledge that you can go and get goals when you are having a bad game or not having the best of times.[LNB]"It is important. You look at Stoke and, for 85 minutes, they seem to be getting dominated and they still seem to go on and win games.[LNB]"I think we've added that quality now. Steven Fletcher and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake has been on fire so far this season while Kevin Doyle was fantastic for us last season.[LNB]"Fletcher has already got off to a flying start since coming from Burnley and banged in a few goals."[LNB]But Henry admitted: "We've got to learn from the two defeats we've had on the road.[LNB]"To go 1-0 up at Fulham and Tottenham is difficult enough. We've done it two weeks on the bounce and lost both games.[LNB]"We've got to learn something from that and maybe, if we are having a bad patch in the game, we've got to stick with it and stay in the game.[LNB]"If we come away with a 1-1 draw after leading, it might be disappointing, but we've got a point."[LNB]Henry is aware Villa will be desperate to impress new manager Gerard Houllier in his first league match in charge.[LNB]He said: "It's the same every time a new gaffer comes in. Everyone steps their game up and it will be a clean slate for them.[LNB]"They will all be wanting to get in the team or stay in the team so they will be bang on their game.[LNB]They are going to be flying and wanting to impress the manager and we want to get back to winning ways. It makes for a great game."[LNB]Henry is quick to deflect suggestions that Wolves are closing the gap on Villa, who have been the Midlands' most successful team in recent decades.[LNB]He said: "We have definitely grown as a club and that is all you can ask.[LNB]"When we start competing with Villa for places and finishing in similar positions, maybe then we can start talking about comparing us to then.[LNB]"But for now we are growing as a club."
