Hahnemann keen to extend Wolves stay

Marcus Hahnemann wants to stay at Wolves for another two seasons and join the band of keepers who have played in the Barclays Premier League at 40. Hahnemann's current contract runs out in the summer, but he believes he has enjoyed one of the best 12 month periods of his career after replacing Wayne Henney as first choice at Molineux. The 38-year-old has often stated he wants to end his career back in his native United States in the MSL and will consider that option if no new deal is forthcoming at Wolves. But Hahnemann is keen to stay with the midlands club for the foreseeable future as they prepare for the home meeting with Bolton. Hahnemann, in an interview with Press Association Sport, said: "I want to stay at Wolves. Myself and my family really like it here, the set-up is great, the guys are great, the staff are great. "Everything has been top notch since I've been here. There is no reason why I want to leave or anything. "I'm just kind of waiting to see what happens. I can't stay if they don't want me to stay so we will just wait and see if they are going to offer me something. There are a couple of MLS teams and it might be an opportunity for me to go back. But if I have the choice I would like to carry on at Wolves for two more years if I was given the opportunity."
