Friend excited at Rovers chance

ew Doncaster recruit George Friend admitted he was delighted to make the switch to the Keepmoat Stadium from Wolves.[LNB] The 22-year-old full-back, who can also play in midfield, has signed a two-year contract.[LNB]Friend joined Wolves from Exeter for £350,000 in 2008, but managed only eight first-team appearances and had loan spells with Millwall, Southend and Scunthorpe as well as a stint back at St James' Park.[LNB]Friend told Doncaster's official website: "I wasn't getting many games at Wolves, especially after they got promoted into the Premier League. I was out on loan trying to get games.[LNB]"I hope I can now come here and play some regular games in the Championship.[LNB]"Doncaster is a great club with good coaching staff and everybody at the club seems really nice. Everything is done properly at this football club and I'm very excited."[LNB]
