The 24-year-old defender made his Irish bow against Nigeria on Friday, capping a fine season for him following Wolves' promotion to the Premier League. And after getting a taste of the game at world level, Foley is looking forward to getting further opportunities under Giovanni Trapattoni. "My first cap meant everything," he told Wolves' official website. "It's what I've played football for since I was nine years of age. You can't get any better feeling than to play for your country. "It's something I'm really proud of and hopefully there will be a few more. My dream as a kid was to play in the Premier League and to play in the World Cup for Ireland. "We'll have to wait and see but for now I'm just delighted to win my first cap."
