Fletcher confident goals will flow
Wolves striker Steven Fletcher has belief that he can improve on his last season's goal tally in the Premier League.[LNB] The 23-year-old scored 12 goals for Burnley last season as they were relegated back to the Championship and was one of their most impressive players of the campaign.[LNB]His performance prompted manager Mick McCarthy to pay a club-record £7million for the Scot's services and gave a good account of himself in Saturday's 3-1 friendly defeat against Leeds.[LNB]Despite not scoring, Fletcher won the free-kick that led to Wolves' only goal of the game and caused problems throughout with his movement and creativity.[LNB]"I don't want to put pressure on myself. If I beat last year's total it will be a good achievement," Fletcher told the Birmingham Mail.[LNB]"I think 12 goals is a realistic aim but I am going to take each day as it comes and hopefully just get in the team to start with. That's a battle in itself."[LNB]The Scotland international also insisted that he could cope with the pressure of having such a price tag on his head, stating that last season's £3million move to Burnley from Hibs showed that he had what it takes.[LNB]"It happened last year with Burnley," he added. "It was a lot of money for them when they bought me and I took that well.[LNB]"I can take this one just as well. I have got a good family around me so I won't get too big headed about it."
