Elokobi's pride at Cameroon call-up

Wolves defender George Elokobi admits being called up to the Cameroon is the proudest moment of his career.[LNB] Elokobi has been named in the Cameroon squad for the first time for a training camp in France later this month as the Indomitable Lions prepare for their next African Cup of Nations qualifiers.[LNB]The 24-year-old is looking forward to linking up with his country's squad and is hoping to catch the eye of coach Javier Clemente as he aims to become a regular in the side.[LNB]"I was delighted to get the call to join up with my country for a training camp in France," Elokobi told skysports.com.[LNB]Huge honour"It is a huge honour for myself and my family and it is definitely the proudest moment of my career so far.[LNB]"Growing up it is always one of your ambitions to play for your country and I am no different.[LNB]"I love my country, I love Cameroon and I am proud to be given the chance to play for my country.[LNB]"I will go to the training camp and give 100 per cent and show the manager what sort of player I am.[LNB]"I hope I can bring something different to the squad and I will do everything I can to become a regular for my country[LNB]"If I do well hopefully I can win a place in the squad for the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations."[LNB]Elokobi believes playing for Cameroon can help him become a better player as he will playing at the highest level with the likes of Samuel Eto'o.[LNB]"Cameroon have a number of great players like Eto'o and obviously I can learn from them and become an even better player," added Elokobi.[LNB]"Playing international football is the highest level you can play at and that is something I have always strived to do.
