Doyle not afraid of Prem big boys
Kevin Doyle believes Wolves are better equipped to face the Premier League's top sides this season.[LNB] In the 2009/10 campaign, their first back in the big time, Mick McCarthy's men struggled against the leading lights, taking just a solitary point from 10 fixtures against Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool.[LNB]They did, however, improve as the season went on, with lessons learned from their early showings.[LNB]Wolves now head to Stamford Bridge this weekend believing they are capable of taking something from table-topping Chelsea.[LNB]The Blues have been in awesome form on home soil this season, claiming four victories and scoring 14 goals without reply, but Doyle insists Wolves will head to the capital without any fear.[LNB]"We definitely improved against the bigger teams as the season went on last time," he told the club's official website.[LNB]"I remember Arsenal away and Chelsea and Manchester United at home and we definitely should have got something out of those games.[LNB]"Touch wood I don't think it will be like when we went to Chelsea towards the start of the season (a 4-0 defeat).[LNB]"We learned a lot from games like that and just hope we can go there and play well.[LNB]"If we do that then we've got a chance of getting something from the game."[LNB]Wolves' next four fixtures in the league see them face Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal, with a second meeting with United in the Carling Cup thrown in for good measure.[LNB]That run of games is unlikely to determine the club's fate, as they attempt to steer clear of trouble, and Doyle believes any points picked up over the coming weeks should be considered a bonus.[LNB]"Look at it as we're getting the next four out of the way!" he added.[LNB]"Hopefully we can get something from them and if we do we have to look at it as points other teams might not get from the same games.[LNB]"It's a chance to play big teams, some of the best players in the world, and enjoy it.[LNB]"It's exciting for us all and if we can get something from the games it will be a bonus, and I definitely believe we can."
