Kevin Doyle's goal could not prevent Mick McCarthy's Wolves crashing to a 2-1 defeat in their pre-season friendly at Crewe on Saturday.[LNB] The Republic of Ireland striker, fit again after a knee injury, crashed in a superb equaliser in the 81st minute.[LNB]But a 25-yard stunner from Antoni Sarcevic five minutes from time gave Crewe a deserved victory.[LNB]Shaun Miller had put the hosts in front when he finished a fine passing move before half-time.[LNB]Defender Roger Johnson made his Wolves debut but was unable to stop them going down to the League Two side.
