Wolves accept Dzeko's wishes

Wolfsburg head coach Armin Veh has accepted that star striker Edin Dzeko is almost certain to leave the club next summer, with AC Milan his preferred destination.

The 23-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovina international came close to heading to the San Siro last summer and remains determined to join the Rossoneri in the not too distant future.

He told La Gazzetta Dello Sport: "The story with Milan is not over.

"I have already told Wolfsburg directors that I want to leave and transfer to Milan. I have always been a Milan fan and I want to become a Rossonero in June."

That prompted Veh to tell Eurosport: "It is a fact that he is able to leave if there is a club willing to pay the amount agreed in his contract.

"This amount of money would put us in the position of being able to find a replacement of a standard comparable to Edin Dzeko."
