Julian Draxler is confident Wolfsburg will progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League despite a late blip against Gent.
Wolfsburg looked to have put the tie to bed in the first leg as they cruised into a three-goal lead in Belgium only for Gent to net twice in the final 10 minutes, with the game ending 3-2.
But three away goals still leave the Germans in a very good position and Draxler, who tormented Gent and scored the opening two goals, was satisfied.
He said on uefa.com: "We played a very good game. The last two goals for Gent weren't so good, but we have all possibilities to go through to the next round.
"I'm always happy when I'm scoring and, of course, the UEFA Champions League is something special for me, I like to play in this tournament.
"It is a good result for us and if we play like that in the second leg we will go through."
Coach Dieter Hecking praised the "huge effort" of his players.
Quoted on the club website, he said: "We were superb for 80 minutes. Unfortunately we then invited our opponents back in with two goals.
"It was a huge effort. Our goal was to bring an excellent result. We did that. Despite the two goals, we succeeded with an away win."
