Wolfsburg forward Mario Gomez says he is unconcerned by his lack of goals, because he feels he is still playing well for his new club.
The Germany international has yet to open his account for the Wolves since joining them in the summer after finishing last season as the Turkish league's top goalscorer with Besiktas - forcing his way back into the national team for Euro 2016 on the strength of those goals in the process.
His failure to find the back of the net in the Bundesliga this season has drawn criticism, but the 31-year-old says he is relaxed about it all.
"I've actually made a good start to the season and that gives me hope," he told Kicker magazine.
"For me, it would be bad if I wasn't even getting chances and had no idea why not, but I'm right in the thick of things and involved in our attacking moves."
The former Stuttgart, Bayern Munich and Fiorentina forward believes it will be only a matter of time before he finally breaks his duck, and then he hopes the goals will arrive in numbers.
"If you look at the chances I've had, then you can see how unlucky I've been," he said.
"All I can try to do is force my luck.
"I'm just sorry for the team because we've not been picking up points.
"I'm not trying to make things out to be all rosy and if I didn't put myself under pressure, then probably I would not have been playing at the highest level for a long time now."
Wolfsburg have won only one of their opening six games this season - a run which includes three goalless draws - and only the bottom two clubs, Ingolstadt and Hamburg, have scored fewer.
