Hoeness slams Dzeko report

Wolfsburg's managing director Dieter Hoeness has rubbished renewed rumours linking his clubs with talks with AC Milan over the sale of star striker Edin Dzeko.

The 23-year-old Bosnia international is all but certain to join the Rossoneri next summer, but Hoeness denies that a swap deal involving Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is on the cards for this month.

Hoeness told German press agency SID: "There is nothing true (in this report)."

However, one man who is definitely on his way out from the Wolves is midfielder Christian Gentner, who has agreed a deal to rejoin Stuttgart at the end of the current campaign.

The 24-year-old told his new club's official website: "I've had a great time at Wolfsburg and I'm still enjoying my stay at the club, but Stuttgart has always been in my heart.

"My love for the club made me decide to return to Stuttgart."
