Dzeko unhappy at Wolves stay

Wolfsburg's star striker Edin Dzeko has confirmed that he is set to stay with the Bundesliga champions, despite being wanted by Italian giants AC Milan.

The 23-year-old Bosnia Herzegovina international scored 26 league goals last term to help the Wolves to a shock title success, making him a target for one of the powerhouses of European football.

However, Wolfsburg have remained constant in saying that Dzeko is not for sale, with the player himself telling Sky Sports: "I am staying at Wolfsburg.

"But I am not happy. I would like to join Milan, but I am tied to a contract and the club have decided not to release me."

Wolves general manager Jurgen Marbach had earlier told Kicker: "Dzeko is not for sale.

"Our opinion remains the same: There are contracts and they will be respected."
